Privacy Policy

The Golden State is a national leader in privacy legislation. A privacy policy is required by California digital privacy laws. CA has the strictest privacy laws in the United States.

My Privacy Policy was last updated on December 16, 2022.

This Privacy Policy describes my policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the service and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

I do not collect any personal data on this website. In providing my service, I maintain strict confidentiality about what is discussed in preparing your manuscript, disclosing or using data, or tracking for other purposes. By using my service, you understand that there is no collection, use of information, or tracking in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Security of Your Personal Data and Written Work

The security of your personal data is important to me. I strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data that we agree to use when we begin our collaboration, but I cannot guarantee its absolute security on other sites we rely on. I am extremely careful with storing it and rely on a security application.

Payments

Since I use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors), I do not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to my third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

Sources of Personal Information

I obtain personal information from the following categories of sources:

  • Directly from you. For example, from the forms you complete on my service, preferences you express or provide through my service.

Use of Personal Information for Business Purposes or Commercial Purposes

All use of personal information is for “business purposes” or “commercial purposes” (as defined under the CCPA), which may include the following examples:

  • To operate my service and provide you with my service.
  • To fulfill or meet the reason you provided the information. For example, if you share your contact information to ask a question about my service, I will use that personal information to respond to your inquiry. If you provide your personal information to purchase a service, I will use that information to process your payment and facilitate delivery.
  • To respond to law enforcement requests and as required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulations.
  • As described to you when collecting your personal information or as otherwise set forth in the CCPA.
  • For internal administrative and auditing purposes.

If I decide to collect additional categories of personal information or use the personal information collected for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes I will update this Privacy Policy.

Sale of Personal Information

As defined in the CCPA, “sell” and “sale” mean selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to a third party for valuable consideration. This means that I may have received some kind of benefit in return for sharing personal information, but not necessarily a monetary benefit.

I do not sell your personal information.

Share of Personal Information

I do not share your personal information with the following categories of third parties:

  • Service Providers
  • Payment processors
  • My affiliates
  • My business partners
  • Third-party vendors to whom you or your agents authorize me to disclose your personal information in connection with services I provide to you

Sale of Personal Information of Minors Under 16 Years of Age

I do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 16 through my service, although certain third party websites that I link to may do so. These third-party websites have their own terms of use and privacy policies and I encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and instruct their children to never provide information on other websites without their permission.

I do not work with Consumers under the age of 16, but if I do have Consumers who are less than 16 years of age, I receive affirmative authorization from the parent or guardian of a Consumer to work together.
